Located on 100 acres of Ozark wilderness, the project is
sited along the edge of a mountain run-off (creek) which
empties into the White river. The house acts as a screen in
which the user must "pass through" to encounter this
stunning view. The clients requested a low maintenance
exterior and the solution was a combination of board-formed
concrete, corrugated cor-ten steel, and Cypress ship-lapped
siding. The cladding idea also integrates the color scheme
of the natural terrain and flora and allows the building to
age gracefully, the wood eventually turning from tan to
silver.
