The weather has been very uncooperative in finishing construction on the polypod. The "liquid" roof requires specific environmental conditions so it will be several weeks until the project is completely finished. The polycarb panels are opaque white and emit enough light to the interior while giving a hint of the structural logic from the outside.

Much of the framing has been completed on the tiny
polypod building. David
McElyea has the construction well in hand and has
been instrumental in the construction of a rather
unconventional but useful framing system. David
budgeted 10 construction days and we are about 2.8
days in, so an early December completion date
looks likely.

There is great value in re-visting and re-interperting
former projects, and Peter Bednar has done just that.
Peter was in my '03 studio at the U of A and has
(re)presented his 2nd house project. Well done!! Here's

Here are a few images of the Dill Building currently going up
in NLR. The day I took photos it rained the entire
time so the photos don't show the building in the
best "light". The owners hope to be in the
building by Christmas, which is when we'll do a
proper photo shoot of the building although, I
might ask for another shoot in the Spring when the
landscaping has settled a bit.
We only have a few more elements on the exterior before completion. The area with insulation board on it should look something like this when completed.
The only difference between the metal panels above and the panels to be built is a change from 2.5' x 10' to 4' x 10'panel size - this will decrease the number of pieces and proportionally work better with the windows.
